Totally editing this after the boys' conversation yesterday, la! Wesley can absolutely be fear-read, and his fears include: being locked in a closet (thanks, Dad) and messing up and getting people killed somehow. Also, at least through the summer, he's going to be extra antsy because his girlfriend is locked in an arena with a bunch of people who want to kill her, so, you know, that's pretty high on the fear list.
As for the newbie, Topher is super agoraphobic, so you can absolutely play with that.
